A Museum Quality George III 18th Century Robert Makepeace English Sterling Silver RepoussŽ Tea Set (3 Pc) 1795 | This is a remarkable Makepeace tea set in excellent condition | Hallmarked Sterling, London, Robert Makepiece, the date mark for 1795, and the King George III duty mark | Has a wonderful deep repousse design, and each piece is also marked with a crowned elephant, which could be the trademark of the silver merchant who sold Robert Makepeace sterling, or a custom mark made at the request of its purchaser or owner. Both elephants and crowns were common trademarks. Approx. Dimensions: 6" Tall Tea Pot With Wooden Handle (16.630 Ozt.); Matching 7.75" Long Double Handled Bowl (7.285 Ozt.), and 4" Tall Creamer (4.915 Ozt.) with a total weight of 28.830 Ozt.
