The relatively short-lived design of this asymmetrical dial layout – power reserve, date with moon phase and small seconds – is likely more recognizable to many in Nautilus 5712 models. It’s also distinguished by an officer case back that opens to reveal the caliber underneath.
This watch is pure classicism, from the enduring style and design. It’s slightly smaller than some, but on the wrist it doesn’t look smaller. And with the officer’s case back, it has that sense of hidden treasure.
Half way through the lunation, the moon will appear full and then wane as it disappears behind the terminator on the left of the aperture. As the moon vanishes, the second moon on the disc is ready to appear on the right.
