Description
1720 Medicine & Pharmacology Pharmacopoeia English Dispensatory Drugs John Quincy
John Quincy was an important English medical writer known for his book on pharmacopoeia, ‘English Dispensatory.’ His works have had considerable influence on the practice of medicine and materia medica (HoH). ‘Heirs of Hippocrates’ says that ‘Dispensatory had an exceptionally long and distinguished history and was the forerunner of Lewis’s ‘Dispensatory.’
This third edition of ‘Dispensatory’ was the final edition published before Quincy’s death. Following this edition, printings would go through very minimal changes; therefore, this is one of the final examples to have Quincy’s own additions.
