in the manner of SIR DANIEL MACNEE (Scottish 1806-1882) A PAINTING, "Portrait of a Gentleman in a Brown suit and Green Tie," oil on pressed board, the figure seated in a Voltaire style chair, holding a leather bound book, in a period Rococo revival gilt and gesso frame, first half 19th century. 12 5/8" x 9 7/8"
Condition
Gilt transfer around edges. Darkening of paint, some craquelure, and areas of paint deterioration. Two areas with apparent 19th century in painting.
