Description
Oil on canvas. Original Framed.Signed low left. Amazing and lovely painting full framed. Beautiful executed. Full detail on costume.Size: 16 inches (h) x 10 ½ inches (w) canvas27 inches (h) x 21 inches (w) frameBIO: Grown up in the workshop of G. Induno, he attended the Milanese Academy of Brera, under the guidance of G. Berlini. Author of the frescoes of the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Miracles of Saronno, he preferred the easel painting, which he treated in oil and in watercolor. A works of patriotic subject (Giuseppe Garibaldi in Caprera, Milan, Museum of the Risorgimento) flanked the most conspicuous production of genre paintings, often entering the lucky vein of neo-seventeenth-century taste (Pittrici on the river, Milan, Gallery of Modern Art ; Mozart plays at the court of George III, Bergamo, Accademia Carrara); in the Colloquium between Carlo Porta and Tommaso Grossi (Milan, Archivio di Stato) the celebration of the two writers translates into a pleasant interior scene.ATTENTION: The auction is in USD (US Dollars).
