Description
Mid-19th century traveling set - tucked into the box was a folded paper with "Massachusetts Volunteers Record of Service" - highlighted name and muster / service of Lt. William B. Allyn, etched name on his straight razor as well, working lock and key, shaving materials - folding mirror, strop on wooden form, ornate shaving brush and straight razor; sewing items - thread, heart form pincushion, tin box of wax; snuff box, and dip pen. Box measures 2 1/4'' x 5 1/2'' x 9''.
