Written by an unknown author, this work, ‘Lives and Exploits of the Most Celebrated Robbers’, includes sections on pirates, sketches of Greek and Roman bandits, Hungarian and Afghan robbers, and notorious murderer from India Triumbukjee!
This work, attributed to Charles MacFarlane, is undated, however, ads at the end of the work note works published in 1858-59. According to Wiesebron, MacFarlane wrote extensively about brigandage under the French and Italian states in Spain.
