"""One of the earliest descriptions of the Masai by the first British Government Resident of Masailand, from 1895-1900. Sidney Langford Hinde arrived in the East African Protectorate in 1895 posted to Machakos fort. A member of the Mackinder/Hansberg expedition up Mt. Kenya, 1899.
