Antique inkwell, made of fine white porcelain. Hexagonal form, with alternating blue and white panels. Hand painted Cobalt Blue floral trim and patterns. Unglazed on underside. Original well insert. Hirado Ware porcelain, from the historical Edo-period Hirado feudal domain in Southern Japan, also known as Mikawachi Ware. Antique, Meiji Japan, late 19th century.
