From a private collection New York, NY; purchased at Freeman's in January 2016 lot 193 by current owner. CONDITION: In overall good to fair condition. There is a 3 inch abrasion /puncture in the canvas right edge center; 2 inch abrasion / canvas severely weakened top 1/4 of the canvas right under the hanging pots; puncture top left center of canvas in the shadow of the arch. Puncture in the cavalier's pants in the center of the canvas. Small areas of missing paint throughout. Areas of moisture damage throughout the canvas; was not examined under black light. Four patches verso.
