Hallmarks of Robert Martin & Ebenezer Hall ca 1883-1904. Along with the many changes made to English society during the reign of King William III (of Orange) and Queen Mary II, society also created an exceptionally elegant form of drinking punch known by the name of the “Monteith Bowl”. Ribbed body on gadrooned dome foot. Wide reverse scallop repousse rim. Double handles in the form of lion masks with stirrup ring drops. Oval scroll framed cartouches front and back. One enhanced with engraved English crest with lions. Approximately131 troy ounces. Measures overall approximately 15 1/4 inches wide including handles x 11 ½ inches tall.
