VERY HEAVY THICK FRONT PLATE AND LIGHTER BACK PLATE . VERY RARE . SHOWS HEAVY USE AND WEAR BUT STILL IN GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE . THE FRONT PLATE HAS A ROUND DENT FROM MUSKET BALL HIT !!! AMAZING. DEFINITELY SAVED SOLDIERS LIFE . LEATHER BACKED BRASS STRAPS ARE VERY FRAGILE AND LEATHER OH THE BACK HAS SEEN SOME REPAIRS. GREAT TO DISPLAY. SUPER NICE EARLY PIECE OF MILITARY COSTUME .The stamps are arsenal stamps "Z" with the crown for one of the Royal Bavarian Arsenals type used up until 1873 , also numbers witch are different on the front and back . Front is AA 2216 and back is AA 2326 . I don't know if it's possible to find matching set considering the hell it went thru .Anyway this is great piece of history worth any advance 19th century military collection and with the musket ball dent to the front makes it even better then any mint condition piece .
