William S. Budworth (1861-1938) (American) watercolor on paper Seascapeโ 10โ x 14โ signed lower left, excellent condition.
Budworth was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Mount Vernon, NY. He was a landscape and marine painter, often in watercolor, also gouache and oils. He was a member of the American Federation of Arts. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago; the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 1891-1903; Boston Art Club,1898-1900,1905-1907; American Art Society, Philadelphia, 1902-03 (silver medals); Corcoran Gallery; NY, 1908 and the Atlanta Fair, 1919, 1920 (prizes). He has work in the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts, NH.
