Wilder, Ethiopia Addis Ababa” Addis Ababa is the capital and largest city in Ethiopia | The work is housed under glass in a wood frame | Narrative art is art that tells a story Frederick J. Wilder (1893 - 1977): The son of painter Arthur B. Wilder, he was born in Woodstock, Vermont. He graduated from Harvard College and its graduate Architectural School. He also painted landscapes, mainly in oil, and was a member of the Wellesley Society of Painters and Portland Haylofters. In 1944, he won First Prize for his oil painting Across the Valley | Approx.
