Charles Dana Gibson (UNITES STATES / MASSACHUSETS / NEW YORK, 1864 - 1944) portrait oil painting after the "Infanata" work by Diego Rodriquez de Silva y Velazquez (SPANISH, 1599 - 1660) depicting MargaretTheresa of Spain. Circa the turn of the century. Verso retains a Beverly-Hill Galleries, Inc., New York label. Also bears old French export labels. Mounted in a gold gilt wooden frame. Canvas measures approx.28" height x 22 1/2" width (71.1cm x 57.1cm) to sight. Measures approx. 33 1/8" height x 28 5/8" width (84.1cm x 72.7cm) overall including frame.
