An Anatolian dickite bearded elder or God, Lake Van, c. 4000 - 3000 BC, with stylized body and extremely detailed bearded head with inset eyes and with tight-fitting headdress. At the base of the piece is a deeply incuse image of a bird in profile. H: 4 in (10.2 cm). Repaired at midsection with some age splitting of the stone in areas. Ex Wright collection, New York.
