Two pieced Amish crib quilts late 19th/early 20th century Both worked in variations of "Nine Patch" in solid cotton patches.34 in. x 44 in. and 37 in. x 53 in. PROVENANCE: The Grant Collection, New York
Condition
quilt with light blue border: some scattered stains along edges, a tear to one red square and slight separation along seam of a black square; quilt with light greenish-blue border: considerable wear/fading to fabrics, squares and white center with rubbing/tearing, some surface holes present, slight separation/pulling to seams of some squares.
