Item Details

Description

1960s resin wall hanging sculpture 12" x 14.25" x 1.75" by Bay Area Artist James Grant. The process involved many layers of different colored resin, same materials used for surfboards and he added mixed media as well. Grant studied at USC received a B.E. in 1945 and a M.F.A. in 1950 as well at Jepson Art Institute 1947-49. He had exhibitions at The Pasadena Art Museum, 1952; Galleria Pogliani, Rome, 1962; M. H. de Young Memorial Museum, SF 1963 and MoMA, NY; this is the very short list of his solo and group shows. His work is in the permanent collections of museums and high level collectors.
