A brass-mounted ebony and rosewood artist's cane 19th century, probably French The angular snakeskin handle unscrewing to an empty cannister, the hinged compartments housing paint pigments, pencil, and inkwell, the cane reassembling to form an artist's easel, one brass rod for complete assembly now lost.L: 34 1/2 in.
