Second half 19th century. Bronze spread wing eagle on a cast iron post cap with layers of black paint. Soldered repair at legs. 11"h. According to an old tag it came off a gate at a Berks County, Pennsylvania estate. From the Collection of Maxine and Dave Tronnes, Mitchell, South Dakota.
