Collection of William Bullart & Dale Harrison
ROSWELL Auctions is honored to offer Collections from several prominent collectors. The estate of Dale Harrison (1923-2019). Born in Albany New York at age 18 he enlisted in the Army Air Corp which later became the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1945 after serving as a pilot in World War II. He was an engineer for 2 major international corporations and was awarded several patients and worked with NASA developing parts for the early spacesuits. He was a prolific and incredible wood worker, loved refinishing antiques, especially Chinese porcelain, and working in his rose garden. Family was always the spotlight of his life however He was also a constant learner of American History with a focus on WWII and the American Civil War.
Other are from the Estate of William Bullart (1917 - 2019), a lifelong resident of Atlanta. He was an Atlanta native and a member of "The Greatest Generation." He was third of four children. He entered the US Navy serving as a SeeBee during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific arena in Luzon, Philippine Islands, and Okinawa, Japan. He was part of Fleet Admirals William Leahy honor guard and among the first service member setting foot in Japan a few days before days before the peace terms were signed, ending WWII. Returning to Atlanta after the war he joined an international engineering firm and was a consultant on numerous overseas projects. Travel, sports and collecting beautiful antiques was his passion in life. His life revolved around his motto "be kind, be honest, don?t live life to survive, live life to succeed.
