Description
Two large lithograph prints by Maxfield Parrish (American, 1870 - 1966). "Ecstasy" (1929) and "Dreamlight" (1925). Both were advertising posters for Edison Mazda Lamps, from the large size calendars. These advertising posters were a hugely successful advertising campaign for the company over many years, and made Parrish even more renowned than he had been previously. Both posters framed behind glass in wood frames. Not examined outside of frame, unknown if the rest of each calendar page is folded behind the framed portion. Colors are good overall. Condition: minor aging, small areas of damage to prints. Good condition overall. Measurements: Ecstasy is 18 3/4" wide by 25 1/2" tall (opening), 22 5/8" wide by 29 1/2" tall by 1 1/4" deep. Dreamlight is 19 1/2" wide by 29 1/2" tall (opening), 25 5/8" wide by 35 1/2" tall by 1 1/4" deep. Keywords: fancy, decor, decoration, art, artist, prints
