Description
Red-painted wood bat with an actual game-used baseball, gold-painted score inscription and decoupage decorations of an eye, mounted on an integrated wood base decorated with a metal eagle, and three gold-painted wooden rings. The painted inscription reads, "Santa Cruz 12 - Watsonville 5" commemorating the score of the game. At this time in California history, 1920s - 1930s, the Santa Cruz team was sponsored by the IOOF - International Order of Odd Fellows, based at the Branciforte Lodge. Santa Cruz was a hotbed for baseball activity during this era.
