Two Small American Table Boxes, Early 19th Century. Comprising an inlaid mahogany heart-shaped box with lozenges and initialed 'J.D.' to the hinged lid; and a small walnut dovetailed slide lid box with a divided interior.
Dimensions: Height of heart-shaped box 3in; width 6 1/2in depth 4 1/2in; Height of slide lid box 2 1/2in; width 9 1/2in; depth 6in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Each box retaining an old surface. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses. The heart-shaped box with movement to inlay, no key.
