Description
Offered here for your consideration are five swagger sticks and a handmade leather vest. Swagger sticks are like staffs, but shorter, and are usually carried by military officers. Typically made from wood and ornamented with metal heads, along with other embellishments, swagger sticks are as classy now as ever. Swagger sticks date as far back as the 1500s and were still popular up to the mid-20th century. In several cases, swagger sticks were comparable to badges and known to represent military rank. The sticks in this lot feature several eye-catching details including etched designs, metal tops and tips, graduated shapes, and different color finishes such as dark and light brown, and black. The great vest is fashioned with a tan/orange colored leather exterior and with beautiful antler buttons embellishments. A soft brown interior and fringe accent in the back finish off this appealing vest. Get your swagger on and add these wonderful pieces to your attire. Bid now!
MAKER: Unknown.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The sticks measure between 24 inches to 27 inches long. The vest measures 21 inches from armpit to armpit and 28 inches in length from top to bottom.
CONDITION: One of the swagger sticks appears to have been repaired but otherwise average to good for their age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
