Description
John Mix Stanley (American, 1814-1872). Hand-colored lithograph titled "Minnehaha or Brown's Falls Near Fort Snelling" depicting two men fishing in the water just below a waterfall. Published in "Reports of explorations and surveys, to ascertain the most practicable and economical route for a railroad from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean," 1860. Lithographed by Sarony, Major & Knapp. Publishing and printing information as well as titled along the upper and lower margins.
Sight; height: 9 3/4 in x width: 6 1/2 in. Framed; height: 13 1/2 in x width: 10 1/2 in x depth: 1/2 in.

Condition
There are no visible creases, tears, or losses. There are no signs of restoration under UV light. Not examined out of frame. Framed under glass. Light wear to the frame.
