DESCRIPTION: Antique Chinese carved wood table, each leg of the tripod base in the form of a dragon's head issuing forth a claw foot, the tripod base supporting an openwork column decorated with foliage, rocks and foliage, the column supporting a tabletop featuring an openwork apron decorated with rats and foliage, the tabletop also containing an inset rose medallion porcelain plaque decorated with floral, foliage, butterfly, and bird motifs and figural scenes, including one with a figure atop a horse.

CONDITION: Tabletop can be separated for shipping purposes. Tabletop wobbles somewhat. Areas of moderate to heavy enamel loss to porcelain. Some cracks to column and one leg. Legs have possibly been adhered back into place at some point. Other, minor wear, consistent with age and use, in spots.
