Description
Sgt. John Lawrence "Larry" Frick (American, 1918-1992). Pen, ink, and graphite comic illustration captioned "Someone Stole the Horse" depicting two figures observing a statue of a general hovering in mid-air, it's mount having been pilfered, ca. 1940-1950s. Created and published in an August edition of Nifty Gags and Comics magazine.

Condition
The sheet is slightly toned. There are areas of graphite transfer throughout. There is a small loss along the lower left edge. There are creases along the lower left and upper right corners. There is a small tear along the upper left edge. Along the verso, there are three pieces of old tape affixed. Some light soiling to the verso. The work is not framed.
