AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SILVER AND ENAMEL CASE
import marks, London 1928, rectangular with rounded ends, the hinged cover enamelled with an 18th Century gallant and two young ladies with sheep beside a river, the sides decorated with yellow guilloché enamel, the base engine-turned, the interior gilded. 8.5cm long, 3.4 troy ounces gross
The marks are clear, but for the sponsor's mark, which is rubbed. The enamels are intact but with some light scratches. The hinge is in good order, and the cover closes well. Generally, it is in good condition.
