DIAMOND, GARNET AND NATURAL PEARL BROOCH
The circular-cut demantoid garnet stem issuing three flowerheads, each set with a similarly-cut demantoid garnet, within pierced old brilliant-cut diamond petals, accented by four 5.0-6.0mm natural pearl 'buds', diamonds approximately 10.50 carats total, length 12.5cm, fitted case by Bentley & Skinner, 55 Piccadilly, London, W1.

Demantoid garnets in stem of bright green hues with good transparency a a few natural inclusions visible under 10 X magnification. Demantoid garnets in three diamond-set flowerheads of well matched, richly saturated medium green hues with good transparency and some natural 'horsetail' inclusions visible under 10 X magnification. Diamonds estimated VS-SI clarity, H-J colour. Bouton pearls of white body colours, green, rose and violet overtones of varying intensities with medium to high lustres. One pearl at top of brooch slightly more oval in shape with a slightly greater depth when viewed from the side. Skins generally very smooth with some ring/growth lines seen around the base of the three largest pearls. Skin slightly wrinkled around the base of the pearl at the top of the brooch. Pearl second in from top of brooch with an eye visible spot of brown body colour within a small area of uneven growth structure. Unmarked/untested white and yellow metals with light surface wear. Overall in good condition. Weight approx. 36.0 grams.
