A Japanese Rimpa school six-fold byobu or floor standing screen, mid-18th century, depicting a view of Autumn flowers and grasses in ink, colours and tarashikomi on a squared, silver paper ground (probably mulberry bark paper) and bearing a Rimpa style red seal to the lower right corner, the image mounted within a brocaded silk surround and supported within a roiro (black) lacquered wood frame bearing pressed copper decorative elements, the reverse with typical (and later) backing paper printed with an asa-no-ha design, size extended 300cm x 152cm
