Oceania, Papua New Guinea, Sepik River region, ca. mid-20th century CE. A lengthy wooden head rest bearing incised surfaces darkened with black pigment, with a large anthropomorphic head emanating from one end, while a slender crocodile head protrudes from the other. Size: 30.6" L x 3.1" W x 3.75" H (77.7 cm x 7.9 cm x 9.5 cm)
