Description
Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A miniature cast leaded-bronze pendant of Osiris, god of the underworld, standing in mummiform while grasping a crook and flail and wearing a tall Atef crown; a suspension loop protrudes from the verso. Size: 0.32" L x 0.30" W x 1.69" H (0.8 cm x 0.8 cm x 4.3 cm)
Provenance: private Springville, Utah, USA collection, inherited via descent; ex-private American collection, acquired before 1994
