Tian shiguang, Flowers and birds, Hanging scoll. Tian Shiguang (October 1916-July 1999) was named Gongwei. His ancestral home is Leling, Shandong, and he has lived in Liulangzhuang, Xihaidian, Beijing. He studied under Zhang Daqian, Zhao Mengzhu, Wu Jingting, Yu Fei'an and Qi Baishi. In his early years, he became a disciple of Zhang Daqian and became one of the disciples of Dafeng Hall.In his early years, he studied at the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in traditional Chinese flower and bird painting. Before liberation, he taught at the National Art College in Peking and served as a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has been engaged in the creation of flower-bird and landscape paintings for a long time. He inherited the fine traditional techniques of double hook and heavy color meticulous flower-and-bird painting of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and endowed it with the spirit of the new era. He is a famous master of modern meticulous flower-and-bird painting in my country. Mr. Tian Shiguang is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, the vice president of Beijing Meticulous Brushwork and Heavy Color Painting, and the first council member of the Chinese Painting Research Institute.
