Item Details
Description
Zulu War of 1879 period, brought back by an English soldier. 25 1/2" length, the haft slightly tapered. The grip lightly scored and possible wire wrapped originally. Spherical head set with rows of trade tacks, one of which is mismatched. Fine uniform aging throughout. The tacks from the pre-1879 period when the Zulu traded freely with the English.
