PHOTOS LISTED DID NOT SHOW DAMAGE TO ITEM
I purchased a lamp from Capo for $315.00. With the shipping company the recommended I ended up paying approx $500. When I received the lamp I saw there was a HUGE discoloration on the other side that they did not show in the photo. I immediatly emailed them with photos and they NEVER responded. Below is a copy of the email I sent them. The offered no remedy and didn't even bother to respond. "Hello Bea We just received our package from UPS delivered today about an hour ago. The lamp has a HUGE discoloration on one side of the globe, of course the side you did not show in the photo. I did not expect it to be in pristine condition, as it is a vintage piece, but this is damage you should have shown. You should have shown the discoloration in the photos so clients knew what they were bidding on. I would NEVER have bid the price I did hadI know it was in that condition. Most reputable auction houses, to maintain their credibility, show flaws if there are any, so that their clients can trust what they see is what they are bidding on. This is not normal aging, this is damage over a large portion of the globe. I will be initiating a dispute with Live Auctions unless you provide another remedy. Thank You" image. png image. png

Be very careful with this auction
Make sure you request a written description before bidding on any items. This auction believes that omitting the condition of what they sell makes it OK to sell damaged items. They are not ethical so buyers beware. I will be sure to let all Murano glass forum members know about their practices. They do not stand behind what they sell. The item I bought from their auction I threw out in the garbage.

Painting
I won a pairing through their auction. After more than 3 days I had not received the invoice. I emailed asking about the invoice, which I finally received. I was given instruction on shipping the painting which included contacting UPS to have them pick up the item. I contacted the gallery multiple time via email and telephone calls over several weeks and they were unresponsive (and I’m assuming unresponsive to UPS trying to arrange pick up). I am no longer interested in having the painting shipped and ask them to discard the paid for painting as I no longer want to deal with this company.

A great place to buy with great and varied items fair prices Though I would like more pictures I understand the demands of their fast turn around. We buy a lot of lots and on occasion a mistake is made and every time the people of Capo have made good on it and that is the measure of a fine company and the definition of good business practices.
