In crisis it shows what an one is made of: we were buying a lot with Wannenes; naturally sometimes things will go wrong eventually and then I expect a rational approach towards customer satisfaction. Instead you are being ignored. That's just bad style. It ill take some time to regain our trust as a professional gallery to buy there again.

The item was not in good condition as advertised and had many loose parts and abrasions etc etc. I have questions on the authenticity and would avoid this auction house.

There are many wonderful auction houses in Italy and I would recommend steering clear of this one if you value your time and sanity.

I had one ok experience and one really bad. For the bad one, they missed disclosing a very ugly old epoxy repair in the item description. When challenged, they said it was my fault for not asking the detailed report. When I asked them to provide the evidences of the repair in the detailed report they stop responding to my emails... what a horrible experience, I'll never buy from them again

I recently purchased an item from Wannenes. Unfortunately when it arrived it didn't fit the space because Wannenes put the wrong measurements on the item. It was a chair and they listed the incorrect height. It was much smaller than listed and looked completely wrong for my room. I had spent a lot of time/money on shipping and was very upset when it arrived. Wannenes told me I should have double checked the measurements with them before purchasing. I'm buying something off of a picture and they have one thing to do and that's list the measurements correctly. I've bought from a lot of other auction houses and have never had a problem, never had to double-check their measurements. I DO NOT trust Wannenes and would never purchase from them again. They have been very slow to respond to my complaints and are not taking any responsibility for this error.

Item exactly as described and pictured. It took Italy a while to issue export certificate and then for item to clear customs but Wannenes and shipper (UPS store!) followed through on everything. LiveAuctioneers makes Int'l bidding a breeze.

I have been trying to get an invoice for this purchase. I have submitted ID to show that I am over 21. (I am 77). They will not and have not sent me an invoice. I am ready to just forget the entire thing.

The only situation, that is not a problem? Is the wait for the Italian government export paperwork of the items won at auction

Before the auction, Wannenes 'web page at LiveAuctioneers stated very clearly that they provide in-house shipping. But I was told after the sale that I had to contact third-party shippers all by myself. They recommended three shippers. For a medium-sized vase, I was quoted with three dramatically different shipping costs at over 400, 700, and even 1, 000 euros! To me, those shipping quotes look like some random numbers that they just randomly threw in there. It's not professional. It is a rip-off, period. Wannenes charges 35 % buyers premium, promises in-house shipping, however simply let their customer suffer from the shipping process, which is at least irresponsible and careless. They only care to ask you to wire the money to them but they don't care whether you can actually get the item and they don't care how you are able to get it. According to my experience, Wannenes is not a trustworthy auction house, therefore I will not do any business with them in the future.

They were quite kind: I bought the painting in the North of Italy but they sent it to Rome, where I live and were I just went to pick up it right yesterday. Very good Auction house, I just raccomand it!

Item have often major damages that are not mentioned in the description
