Staff was very friendly and responsive. Everything smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend this auction house. I love the table I purchased for a fraction of the price of its worth.

These folks bent over backwards to help us get this item. They took hours out of their weekend to cover and place the trike where I could pick it up on our travel schedule, outside their business hours. A +. Will do business with them any time.

I was nervous as a first time bidder but 5th avenue auctions took all my worry away. They were responsive and accommodating … and had the best selection of antiques i’ve ever seen. We were advised of a shipper in New York City, whose fee is in excess of $50.00 to go from NYC to Stamford, CT to retrieve my item. I was fortunate enough to locate The UPS Store # 0706, Bull's Head, 65 HighRidge Road, Stamford, CT 0690 They were so helpful and courteous with several emails over the location of the auction, considering the auctions listing for shipping & collection of paid items was very confusing. I will use the The UPS Store # 0706, ********** for purchases in the Stamford area but I will certainly be more descerning about using 5th Avenue Auctions in the future. Mark

We loved the experience of bidding with 5th Avenue Auctions, and we got two beautiful lamps and 56 Waterford crystal glasses from them. We were delighted when we received them; they were even more magnificent that they were described. And the people at 5th Avenue were extremely helpful and easy to work with. Very poor customer service. Made arrangements to pick up item via phone conversation only to be told on arrival that it had been destroyed. This was after a 5 hour (10 hour) trip. Was promised an email for future purchase, but no response. Owner was very non-chalant-almost rude. Did finally refund bid.

The Auction house staff are very professional and helpful, but after waiting 2 months to receive my merchandise, which is not their fault I chose the shipper, the quality of the merchandise was horrible. the settee was old and rotten out with broken legs which could be a shipping issue. BUT, the quality of most of the merchandise compared to what I received from other auction houses was not the best. The cushion in the chairs smelled and the photos look glammed up the merchandise. It was not worth the wait on most of it. There was a beautiful gold chair and navy blue ostrich chair is very good condition, I had 5 chairs. The settee was the biggest disappointment.

Item description was accurate and payment process was smooth and easy. Shipping however left a lot to be desired. Package reached my local post office and was recalled back to the 5th Avenue Auctions due to a shipping problem. When I finally received my items they were not packed very well and the box was smashed and one of the items was shattered beyond repair. When I contacted 5th Avenue regarding this the response was sorry about that but the items were insured and that I would have to work with the post office to file a claim. This auction house has great items at reasonable starting prices but you might want to get an outside company to handle your shipping.

This as expected was a tough item to ship. These folks were beyond cooperative working with me and Plycon. Since the top is marble Plycon had to make a crate. All in all the purchase and delivery process went flawlessly.
