Dear Judy, As communicated with you by email, quotes for freight to Israel were all high due to the unrest. Up until recently services to Israel were suspended altogether. Apparently they may now be transferring freight in through Jordan, however still tricky for the carrier. We agree freight prices to Israel have always been extraordinary but are now ridiculous! We did offer two solutions, the latter of which you have chosen:-A Sydney based friend collects on your behalf and holds for you-We reoffer the lot at zero vendor commission in a subsequent sale for you so the lot has not been 'left' here, it will be reoffered and you will be paid any proceeds directly. We feel this to be a more than reasonable solution and that we did all we could to assist you, noting our shipping policy clearly states that we do not provide in-house packing & postage for our auctions.
