Carpet Fair Istanbul

Our firm Durusan Carpets was founded in 1951 by Vedat Durusel. It has worked hard to introduce Turkish handmade carpets to the world. For over 20 years we have been selected to receive medals as the most successful carpet exporter of Turkey. We have organized rug fairs in Istanbul and in major cities of the world. We had the privilege of showing our carpets and kilims to exclusive buyers including the elite of almost every country. We have maintained inventories and sold successfully in Belgium, France, Germany, the UK, and the USA. We were effective in revitalizing the weaving of traditional Usak carpets and in exporting them to the US and Europe. Our firm has reinvented the silk rug to have 24x24 knots per sq cm (5,760,000 knots per square meter or approximately 3720 knots per sq. in.).
