Their in-house shipping is very expensive and slow. They never specified the shipping method or date. You might get a better price with an outside shipper.

Accurately described items.

They don't package the items they sell. you have to hire a separate company to pick up and package the items and get them shipped to you. It cost more than the piece I won at the auction. As a gallery owner I found this to be very unprofessional.

Fist time using Liveauctneers and winning some items from Block Auction House. The experience has been a rough start with payment process and vague-communications, but finally got the items I won. What I wish for this site though is the ordering process here to be more efficient/speedy. Block Auction House claimed to be a small business with so many auction invoices and orders they work with that things go very slow and I understand that, but if you want to make sure your items have been shipped out, you can ask for tracking # info and they will provide it (like I did and usually my M-O) though they say not many customers do (which I find that UNUSUAL if you want assurance your paid items are mailed out in a timely manner). They need to work more with timely communications skills, but they did with me and finally came through.

Check before bidding if you have any items shipped for extra fees. Purchased 5 Lionel train cars and the total shipping/extra fees amounted to $102 due to charging each lot $20. I had 3 lots so that was an extra $60. This was in their terms and conditions but I didn't read it. My fault but very uncompetitive in my opinion.

I had a very positive experience buying from Block Auction House. They responded to my email questions promptly. They also handled shipping which was prompt and seamless. My items arrived safely and they were well packed. And the shipping charges were very reasonable! Much better than many other auction houses. I won't hesitate to bid with them again.

It's a joy to work with Block. I was pretty needy and communication was thorough and accurate. The lots I won are all spectacular and exactly as described, not to mention outstanding scores. A pleasure to deal with this house and these people.

Really appreciate of them going above and beyond to help with arranging shipping and getting the item to me. Looking forward to finding more treasures in their future auctions.

If there was an option for customer service I’d provide zero stars. Sent over a dozen requests for an update on the item, no response. The shipping charges were ridiculous considering the item was sent regular mail, without a complete address … meaning that I had to pay an additional $10 to complete the address and retrieve my package at this side … shipping of a 45rpm Vinyl single totalled $75 Description was mostly accurate but did not mention the tear in the record cover. Will avoid bidding on any future auctions from this company.

They make BIG profits from shipping charges!! Paid OVER 80.00 for 4-1 oz. in weight paper doll books!! NO special handling! They just threw them in a box and charged be 15.00 extra for each one! And threw in 4 tinyBISQUE dolls with this flat box!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!! PLUS they did not include a lot that i won!! STILL trying to get my money back! ALSO they auctioned of REPRODUCTIONS without mentioning they were!!!! Worthless items i would never had bid on!!! BEWARE of this auction Co. Terrible experience!!! Held hostage to them!!!! Sad!

Block Auction House was very easy to work with and very professional. The descriptions were accurate, and the photos further enhanced the written descriptions. My items arrived just as they appeared in the photos. Block Auction offers in-house shipping, a huge plus as far as I'm concerned. The packing/shipping cost was reasonable, and the packing was well done. Shipping was fast, and my purchases arrived in the same condition as they had left the showroom floor. I was able buy several items that I had never seen at auction before, and I'm very pleased with my purchases. Great auction experience from start to finish!

Block auction house does not have an own phone number, does not answer emails and keeps your paid item, if you are not willing to use their shipper and his inflated price. They never returned my inquiry, just pointed to their printed conditions, which I did not read. My transport company (UPS) was even not able to find their office.. Of course Live auctioneers send me 3 short notices, that they will try to talk to Block. I never heard from them again either. The end of the story.? Block keeps my item, can probably try to sell it again and I lost my money.
