I won an item on March 3, 2024 and was charged on March 5, 2024. I have called several times and send an email. Seller has been unresponsive. The voicemail box is fulled for days! Are you still in business? Very frustrating dealing with this auctioneer.

I’ll never buy anything from these people again. Make sure to read all the reviews. I reached out to the main auction house to help me VERIFY exactly what I bought and complained this auction house is completely misleading with their descriptions of what they are “selling”. Watch … they will respond to this review and call me a “liar” like ALL the other complainers that have the SAME issue. I am working to report this until they get investigated. Don’t buy you guys! I’ll never trust this again especially if there’s no repercussions for BAD business and communication. It’s BS!

We bid on a bronze sculpture, and “won”. When we tried to contact the seller due to being charged some $250 more than the winning bid amount, there’s no way (at least that we found), to speak to someone. As to the overage in costs, granted, it’s a heavy piece so shipping charges at about $135 is not the issue. But them advertising that they handle shipping, without stating “at an additional cost”, is misleading. The fees that weren’t advertised are another problem with this Seller. What would have made this a 5-star experience is ease of contact with the Seller, as well as full and clear disclosure of all costs, including shipping.

Easy to work with Auction House

The painting was shipped promptly and as described. But I would not buy from this auction house again due to overcharging on shipping, high packing/handling/processing fees, and charging sales tax after those fees/costs. The item was $150 more than it should have been based on my experience with other auction houses 'associated costs for shipping paintings.

Caveat emptor

These people should be in jail. Selling fake paintings as “original hand signed oil” and then telling me “it is original, it’s an original giclee,” just shows how much of a scam these people are running. Also, claiming it’s estimated value is up to $28, 000, is very deceptive considering it was a 24x24inch abstract by a lesser known artist (the most money a giclee has ever been purchased for was $30, 000). They told me they would refund the money and instead billed me one hour later and disappeared from all contact. They will be in jail very soon for theft if nothing else.

My card was charged 7/10/22 for a 7/9/22 auction, charges included shipping. Messaged seller on 7/15/22 for shipping information. Seller replied 7/16/22 stating a 7 day waiting period for transfer of funds post auction. Waited until 7/21/22 to reach out to seller for tracking information. No reply. Messaged seller again on 7/26/22 for tracking information. No replay as of 7/31/22. Buyer beware.

I purchased two items, they were presumably shipped in one package. I was charged $39.87 and ECA paid $5.95 for shipping (I know how much it cost them to ship it based on a search ticket my local post office ran that has the shipping information on it); there is a line item on the invoice for "Packing-Handling-Insurance" for $27.45 but the auction house contact, Anna, despite being asked three times now, will not answer my question about insurance so that I can make a claim with the USPS since I am out nearly $700 from this auction and have nothing to show for it. I am heartbroken that the piece of art that I bought is now probably lost forever (assuming it was authentic).

Happy to have the item

The description said, "Original Painting-Drawing-Work on Paper" and on back it said it was a painting, but it also said photograph, which I guess is my fault for not understanding, but the description wasn't consistent on what it was. It wasn't a painting, but only a picture of a painting. I would never have paid over $100.00, for a photo of a painting. I take responsibility on the fact this was my first time bidding and wasn't knowledgeable about it.

Will definitely do more business with them.

I've been watching auctions for about a year but finally bid and watched the lives as they were happening. A really fun and informative experience. Best part is I won the two items I bid on!

I paid for this blue-colored picture and instead, they sent me a black-colored photo of the picture on brown cardboard. I reported them to Auction House and am still waiting for a refund. But the seller is refusing to repay me the money I paid. They have to be held accountable because this is a bait and switch.

I bought an item from this auctioneer on 7 February. Six weeks later, having not received the item, I sent them a message telling them of that fact and asking them to provide me with the relevant tracking details. They responded by telling me to be patient. They didn’t provide the tracking details. Since then, I have written to them on three occasions (on 22 March, 29 March and 7 April) asking them to provide me with the tracking details. They have not responded to any of my messages. Nor have they responded to a fourth message (sent on 11 April) asking them to extend me the courtesy of a response to my earlier messages. On 12 April, I asked Live Auctioneers to intervene on my behalf. On the following day, they did so, asking Estate Collection Auctioneer to provide the tracking details I had requested. They have not done so. I have still not received the item purchased by me. I will not buy from Estate Collection Auctioneer again and would urge anyone who might be thinking of buying at one of their auctions not to do so.

Paid but never received my items!

The Picasso painting was a hoax! Had two independing expertises that confirmed this fact. Wrote several times to Estate Collection Auctioneers to solve this problem! Never got a response...! Very disappointing!!! Stay away from this auctioneer!!!

I was extremely happy with my purchase, and was impressed with the protective packaging.

An amazing purchase! I’m blown away at the item and the price. My only advice would be to find out cost of shipping and handling of item up front. I was surprised at the price vs the amount of time it took to receive item. I paid around $900 for a 175 pound item which I was ok with (that included insurance) the surprise was a month to go from FL to WI. Just know that the shipping company may have your item sit in a warehouse for weeks until they have other items to deliver in your area even at $900. Other than that. It was a great experience and the shipping company recommended was very good at packaging and very professional.

After receiving the item, I wrote the auction company to explain the limited provenance claim on the description, and never heard back.
