This was described as being in "excellent condition", but actually had a considerable number of cracks.

the items I won cost $130.. 00. I was told my shipping would costs $500.00 due to a childs high chair. I ask to keep the high chair and ship me the other items. I paid for the items I won but received nothing in return. No effort was made to ship the other items I paid for and no attempts to send me my items. I would like to receive the items I paid for as I did pay you in full.

I have purchased from New England Auctions on a handful of occasions. As a regular auction bidder I know that things go right with purchases the majority of the time, the real question is if an auction house will make things right in the event they make a mistake, which all people and businesses will eventually do. In one of the lots I purchased from New England Auctions which had 3 rings, all were referred to as gold and having sapphire stones. Unfortunately one of them was marked. 925 and only two of the 3 had sapphires, they were iolite. While I admit that I did not inspect the rings for several months after I purchased them, subsequently for nearly the next three months I exchanged over 20 emails attempting to return the lot or just the ring that was silver and that I paid a gold price for. I was fine with a partial refund or future credit (especially after I ended up selling 1 of the rings at my cost price). They seemed genuinely amenable to working something out at but after my 10th or so email I was getting responses once a week or less and eventually my last handful of emails have gone ignored. I believe it is likely that if I had followed up more timely they would have accommodated me, at the same time, I consider describing silver as white gold to be a cardinal sin and something someone should immediately and apologetically respond to with a refund regardless of the circumstances.

Was disappointed to learn the piece had been recently refinished once it was delivered. When I contacted the auction house, they said I should have examined it in person before bidding. After handling as much folk art and Americana as this house has, they know how much original condition influences value. This did not fall under the category of “minor repairs.” Buyer beware indeed.

I was extremely happy when I received the statue. The condition and patina on the antique piece, was even better than it appeared on the auction site. I requested a condition report and additional photos, and they were great to point out some items in the photo. I love their transparency!

Auction has a truly narrow options for payments After we agreed that i will send a check to them, i asked for the details to write on the check They never answered and deadline to do payments passed out, so i got a notice that they will charge me an extra fee for the delay but they didnt provide the info on time either Very unfriendly environment No, not an auction house i will be recommending anyone sorry guys, you dont work in a pleasant and friendly way Your rules are super un-welcoming to anyone
