Helped with shipping issue
We purchased a photograph from the gallery but failed to notice we still had our old address listed. The artwork was sent to our old house, but we found out after the items was shipped. We got in touch with the gallery and they were able to track our package and re-route it to the other side of the country to our new house.... Thank you so very much for all of your help.

The west coast needs a forum for photography.
I hope you can consider making this an ongoing feature with higher levels of curation, (photo-litho's for example) than the regular auction house provides. In the 80's, 90's Butterfield (later Bonhams) had 2 auctions a year with 300 = 400 lots. All of those images need to be seen again (think Robert Frank's-Trolley, New Orleans) My best and thanks for what you do.

FRAMES NOT INCLUDED
NO WHERE on the individual listing does it say that the photographs come unframed. I did end up finding it buried in a multi thousand word disclosure under Terms and Conditions of sale. They even showed the piece in a frame in each listing. To boot, they offered to frame it for me for a small sum of $200 +. I love the photograph, but i will never purchase another piece from this auction house. When i asked about it, the person on the phone was “sorry” But gave me no options or suggestions. I am disappointed to say the least.

My sincere apologies for any miscommunication. The immense effort of framing and photographing each piece for the catalogue was intended as a courtesy so bidders could get a sense of scale, tonality, and overall presence with in-person viewing unavailable at this time. We didn't intend to mislead in the slightest, and we offered framing below our wholesale costs to compensate for not making this more explicit. We thought that our large financial loss on framing (cost of Strongbox $125, cost of Optium nearly $300, plus moulding, hardware, coroplast, museum board, etc., not to mention labor) would have translated into our clients 'happiness, and encourage future patronage. I'm incredibly saddened to hear that you are dissatisfied. On the phone you mentioned that it would cost $800 to frame this print, and you sounded happily surprised to hear our offer of $235 for framing with the highest grade materials and packaging in a foam-lined strongbox, so I didn't expect any residual resentment. We believed you were happy with this arrangement, so we're terribly sorry for any misunderstanding, and hope you will cherish your lovely acquisition. Thank you for working with us, and we will strive to improve for our next sale. Best wishes, Seagrave Gallery

When I called and left a message for the gallery, my call was returned quickly and courteously, and I was given all the shipping information I needed. The entire experience was just delightful! I look forward to their next auction.
