Established in 1981, Etherton Gallery is best known for its expertise in post-World War II American and Mexican photography. Etherton Gallery is dedicated to making great works of photography accessible to novices and experienced collectors alike. The gallery is a long-standing member of AIPAD (the Association of International Photography Art Dealers), and Terry Etherton has twice served on the Board of Directors. Etherton Gallery participates in art fairs including the AIPAD Photography Show NY, EXPOChicago and Paris Photo. The gallery has placed work in numerous private and public collections among them: The Museum of Modern Art; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; J. Paul Getty Museum; Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; National Gallery, and the Library of Congress. Terry Etherton is an accredited member of the American Society of Appraisers and is available for appraisals, absentee bidding and collections consultation.

Great transaction, very professional.

Etherton Gallery is a professional business, and conducts itself as such. Unfortunately not all of the sellers represented by Live Auctioneers keeps such good standing. I'm glad Etherton sets a high standard.

Absolutely perfect experience

The image that I bid on and received was beautiful, almost beyond my expectations if you can believe that. My communications with the gallery were answered promptly and quickly. The image was packed professionally, arrived promptly, and was exactly as described. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend the Etherton Gallery to anyone who is interested in art in general and photography in particular. A Very Good Experience

I recently purchased two photographs at reasonable prices in the Etherton Gallery's Holiday Photography Classics auction. Communication with the gallery was excellent in trying to arrange a shipping schedule that was convenient for me. When the package arrived, both photographic prints were very securely packed and well protected with sturdy boards to protect them. The gallery was also very accommodating in writing up a receipt that I had requested. Overall, a very good experience. I will be happy to do business with this merchant again and I look forward to its next sale.
