In an ever changing marketplace, we do our homework and study to make honest appraisals and estimates. We are also collectors and understand the need of bidders to trust the integrity of the auction house, especially when you cannot physically see and touch the lots offered. When you look at our Liveauctioneers' auction catalog, you may notice that almost all of the lots describe some flaws in the item. This is just being honest about antiques and vintage items that normally have not been kept in a box or a closet since the day they were made. We value these lovely old things with the patina of age, their flaws from use, or the inevitable effects of aging.
