My family and I absolutely love this set! The price was great and we've received great comments on it from visitors. However, the shipping, WTF! Very poorly and loosely packed. Nearly every piece needed to be glued back together in some way. One piece we couldn't figure out where it came from. I could have packed better! Glad the price was so reasonable else this review would be worse (shipping was 3x the item price!). I would buy from Maywood again with better shipping quality.

This was my second time bidding in a Maywood Auction. They are all ***** 5 STARS ****** from online accurate descriptions to prompt shipping in-house for a very fair price. In-house shipping was outstanding with fragile pieces individually boxed as requested. Total shipping costs are noted in most listings and the fee is adjusted for combined shipping. Great service having shipping included on the invoice without the need to get quotes and start shopping for outside shippers post-sale. Excellent quality! Thank you.

The shipper they used lost a gold spoon which makes it a loss for me. I have asked several times for an update and have not heard back. I am really disappointed. I paid more than $1000 for the item and the auction house showed photos of all spoons present. I called the auction house to see if the spoon was there and they went and checked and said it was not but it had been there because they had photos. The shippers lost my gold Christofle spoon and I do not think it can be replaced so I have a set that can't be used. Very disappointing.

The whole experience was great! From paying to shipping to receiving. Very smooth and my items arrived beautifully packed. Cannot wait to use them in the future. Thank you!

Item that was described as antique was really not. Upon inspection, a made in China label was found on the bottom along with reproduction parts.

Quick no nonsense service, and the lots were faithfully represented in the photos.

The lid has repairs, but it has not been described.

Horrible packing. Item defective and not as described

This was my first time bidding with Maywood Antiques. Purchased three items all of which I am pleased were accurately described. I do appreciate that they handle shipping in house. Given that two items required special packing I believe that there shipping price was fair. Currently I prefer to focus on auction firms that offer preferred in-house shipping. In the past have wasted too much time phoning and emailing recommended shippers after the sale. I do not mind if there is a delay in shipping if there is large in-house volume after a sale. If a firm does a good job packing fragile items at a fair cost to ship they have earned my repeat auction attendance. Good job!
