"HONEST!!!!!" Grading, Discriptions, Very nice packing. This is truly one of the better Auction Houses. We all write Pos. Feedback so we do not get blocked. Not in this case. Everything regarding this auction house is 5 star. Customer service is family/faimly friendly, they respond within 24 hrs., descriptions are "Honest" packing is professional. The person to whom I had this item shipped thought the item was in lovely condition, from a paint standpoint, and after a bit of tuneup, should be a nice display runner. So I'm happy.

Quality items to bid on.

I got two items in this particular auction, and had them shipped to a friend that works with "prewar" Lionel train material. He was very impressed with, and pleased by, the items, so my goal was accomplished. I've got my eye on this auction house, and will be investigating their future auctions. They're reliable.

From start to finish this was a hassle free process. I made my purchase from New Zealand and they packed and shipped to me the items arrived safe and secure in a reasonable time frame and the staff at Harris's were friendly and helpful.

I had trouble bidding online through a third party, so I went directly to the Harris site. That worked like a charm. I also had some questions about my order since this was my first auction experience. The response was immediate, satisfying my question and even reduced my overall bill. Won and purchased two sets: AF Hamiltonian and Lone Scout. Hamiltonian was exactly as described but pictures were not real clear and did not expand much for detail. Very pleased with Hamiltonian set. Lone Scout was very difficult for me to see heavy scratching on car sides and ends in pictures; appeared as a light reflection. I REGRET winning and purchasing Lone Scout. Rating is therefore mixed. 4 + for the Hamiltonian, received condition was better than pictures. 2 + for Lone Scout for pictures and received condition match because condition was lower than pictures indicated. Not certain why pictures varied. Also, I would appreciate closer pictures with larger images as this would clarify. Would purchase again from Harris, but will definitely ask many questions when I consider bidding.

The 4 hoppers were just as described on the auction site. Shipping was very reasonable.

You have to love an auction house, located in the state of Nevada, no sales tax. The overall process was excellent. It was extremely smooth, and I would highly recommend them. I would certainly do business with them again. Very professional.

I have been buying trainbs online through liveauctioneers for many years from many auction houses. I have had very little complaints up till now. I made a purchase of a vintage MTH Railking train set, from 1996. One of the very first boxed train sets MTH sold. The auction listing only had 2 or 3 photos, none of the items were out of their boxes, and only the foam lid was lifted on the locomotive, only showing the top of 1 side. The listing said it was graded a TCA C9, which is like factory new. With no photos of the individual items, i had no choice or reason to doubt their grading. When I received the set, I immediately realized it was nowhere c lose to a C9. It was actually a C6 overall. 1 of the freight cars was a flat with 2 metal MTH panel trucks, when I took it out of the box, the roofs of both trucks had paint so badly cracked it looked like dirt that has not seen water in a couple years! Ruined. That should have been disclosed, but was not shown out of the box, no way to see it. The caboose had a broken plastic railing, the Die-cast locomotive has signs of zinc rot on the cylinders, with paint bubbles and flaking paint. Again, not visible in photos. The loco had been run so much the wheels had the old thick black buildup from hours of running, cars the same. The set was NOT C9, like new! I was so disappointed. I took my own closeup photos and sent a stern message, but no bad language, just facts and no response. Had to complain to liveauctioneers, then they finally replied. They claimed they replied, but I did not get any reply in my email. This set was not worth what I paid, about half maybe. Now I know why no one present bid against me, those attending can remove items from boxes to inspect, online I cannot, it is the responsibility of the auction house to actually INSPECT items before the give them a TCA grade, especially a LIKE NEW C9!! It was clear no one at Harris bothered to inspect any of the items in the set. Very displeased.

auction process good the house was timely in notification about items won when it came time for shipping is when i decided to not bid on any of any items listed in future and not do any business with them based on the shipping cost almost double UPS

Excellent Auction House!

Very pleased with Harris TTA. The auction was well conducted with sufficient time for a bidder to mull over a lot. The photos and description were excellent and displayed the item as I received it. Of import to me is the care and attention to packing and shipping. This may go overlooked by others but for me it is paramount (and just as critical as the auction process). Poor packing or inattention to shipping such a delicate item could cause both physical and electronic damage. The outer carton was well taped to ensure a safe transit.
