Asian Art Dealer Based in Washington Himalayan Specialties is located in the Pacific Northwest. We are highly experienced dealers in Asian Antiques, Asian Art, and other finery of Southeast Asia, primarily from Tibet and the Himalayas. The owner, of Himalayan Specialties has been a dealer in Asian Art for over 35 years. In 1980 she managed the Mandala Gallery of Indian and Southeast Asian Art in Kathmandu, Nepal and has specialized in the art of Tibet, India, and China ever since. Based in Southern California since 1984, and now in Washington State, the owner has provided art to other dealers and to museums. She has sold works of art for and to top dealers In New York, Spinks, and Sons (London), The Los Angeles County Museum, The Chicago Art Institute, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the Asian Art Museum (San Francisco) and the Rubin Museum of Art in New York. And she has assisted museum donors to make contributions, including contributions to the Smithsonian. Himalayan Specialties has sold numerous pieces to many stars like Goldie Hawn and Steven Seagal for their Personal Tibetan Shrine/Meditation Rooms that the owner designed for them. More recently, she has been asked by decorators to assist them in designing and decorating entire rooms and special areas in an Asian motif. With the growing popularity of Asian art and design, she is also now active in decorative arts and antiques from Southeast Asia. Selling Himalayan Art since 1980, Himalayan Specialties knows what we're doing--and what we're selling. Meaning no replicas. Nothing "in the style of" any ancient culture. Only legally acquired artifacts.

would have preferred not to have what appeared to be inventory information written in what looks to be permanent marker on the original box-Gave as a gift and did not open the box-Was told it was packed well-Recipient loves it-Came several days early-Appreciate in house shipping

First Rate Seller

There was a problem with a missing piece from the statue. However, after contacting Himalayan Specialties the missing part was found and shipped. They are very responsive and promptly solved the problem. Look forward to future auctions with this seller.
