With the exception of DHL's delivery ineptness this was a very pleasant first experience with this house. When contacted, they replied quickly and fully addressed my questions. I would definitely buy from again.

First time bidder with Nara Gallery for a Japanese block print. Had questions that were promptly and courteously answered and made me very comfortable bidding even though they are in the Netherlands and I'm in the USA. Auction went well and I won an item. Invoicing was prompt and the buyer's premium was very reasonable at only 10 %. Some auctioneers are pushing upwards to 30 % which makes me very reluctant to bid (pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered). Only issue was they inadvertently left the shipping charge (a VERY VERY reasonable 20 Euros to the US) off the invoice. I messaged them to ask about that and to see if they would revise the invoice accordingly; they said it was their mistake and just pay the invoice. Wow! Talk about great service and consideration of the customer. I will DEFINITELY be watching for future auctions from Nara Gallery. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them as a premier auction house with fair prices for services (buyer premium and shipping) and fantastic customer service. All I can say is PLEASE don't change how you conduct your auctions!

Relatively new kid on the block but quickly distinguishing itself with outstanding post-auction follow up. Shipping & Handling is very reasonably priced but exceptional service and quality-in fact, unparalleled in the business.

The print I purchased was beautiful and in excellent condition. It was also such a pleasure that Nara automatically took care of the shipping. The packaging was simple but completely secure and the cost was very modest. It is rare that I have had such an efficient, problem-free experience with an auction house.

Always a concern for me when considering buying online from an auction is shipping. The whole process was very simple and the print I purchased arrived packed between two sheets of hardboard, nice and safe. Thank you for the service.

The packaging for my Japanese Woodcut was the finest I have ever received. Packed in in hard covering and then placed in a protective clear sleeve with holes to put in a binder. Fantastic!
